Taarif — Terms of Use & End-User License Agreement

By using Taarif you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
1. Your account
You're responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. You must be 12 or older to use Taarif.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Taarif on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these terms and the Apple Media Services / App Store terms.
3. Community content & zero tolerance for objectionable content
Taarif lets you post photos and captions to a shared "Tables" feed. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You agree not to post content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, illegal, spam/scam, or that harasses, threatens, or reveals private information about anyone.
To keep the feed safe we provide, and you agree to, the following:
- Automated filtering — every caption is checked before it posts, and content that fails is rejected.
- Reporting — you can report any post or user from within the app.
- Blocking — you can block a user; blocked users' content is hidden from you and yours from them.
- Enforcement — we review reports and act on violations, typically within 24 hours, by removing content and/or removing the responsible user. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
By posting, you confirm you have the right to share the content and you grant us a licence to display it within Taarif.
4. Food, nutrition & allergy disclaimer
Taarif's recipe suggestions, diet filters, and nutrition figures are for convenience only and are estimates. They are not medical, dietary, or allergy advice, and diet filters are not a guarantee of allergen safety. Always check ingredient labels and consult a professional if you have an allergy, intolerance, or medical dietary need. You are responsible for safe food handling and for what you cook and eat.
5. Taarif Plus (subscriptions)
Taarif Plus is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store. Price, term, and any free trial are shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation; it renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the app: no reverse engineering, no scraping, no interfering with the service, no using it to break the law or infringe others' rights.
7. Availability & changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept it.
8. Disclaimers & liability
Taarif is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
9. Termination
You can stop using Taarif and delete your account at any time (in-app, 30-day grace). We may terminate access for violations of these terms.
